To set up a new machine:
- HotSync the new
machine and assign a user name to it.
We recommend that you use a generic naming like "Truck 1" instead of "Sams PDA". This HotSync user name is what we use to license each copy of Trakker.
- Right-click the
"TK" icon in the systray and choose "install", then choose
the name assigned in #1 above.
- HotSync to
install the application. When HotSync
completes the PDA will begin the actual installation.
- Hotsync for the
3rd time to get the QB data.
- Go into
maintenance on the application on the PDA and set up the parameters for your
use, including the printer choice. See the Users Manual for all of the options and their usage.
- If using the PrintBoy drivers, open the "print
setup" application on the PDA and choose the printer and
connection method.
- Do a test
invoice in Trakker, and a test print.
Sounds like a lot to do, but only #3 will take some time
as it loads everything for the 1st time. If you have multiple units to set up you could do these one at a time, or move all the PDA units through the
process at once.
